Shimon Sarfati

Words are so limited, so feeble an instrument to capture all the range of experience that is life. When we come to a moment that we never could imagine and seek to share all that we feel, words always escape us… and all that is left is an empty space that we desire to fill with Light.

This is one of those times when no words can sooth the ache, or calm the heart. Last night in Miami, our dearest most beloved Shimon Sarfati left this world. As he went to study Zohar and bid his beloved Rachel good night, his soul was lifted up by God’s kiss and his beautiful, loving, heart stopped beating. The Zohar tells us that this is the way the righteous leave this world – with a kiss.

For me from the first moment I met Shimon I knew that he was a special soul. Anyone who met Shimon even for a second, and for those who had the great merit to know him and love him, felt the magic he carried with him. Whatever he touched, whoever he met, wherever he went, angels went with him turning the most innocent encounter into the stuff of legends. If you knew Shimon you couldn’t help but experience this with him. And yet there was no simpler person in the world. Unassuming and humble, pure and kind, a doting and loving husband to Rachel and father to Miriam, Esther, Yehuda, David and Michael, a radiant teacher and beacon of Light for all his students, a trusted friend, Shimon was loved by all. He was, is and always will be the most loyal soldier of the Light, and for Rav Berg and myself, Shimon was one of the pillars of the Centre with his certainty and his heart. Shimon is our family. He leaves behind a vast hole for all of us.

I know he is with Rav Berg, and together they will watch over us all and guide our way, more so now than ever.

Shimon we love you, we are so greatly saddened by the space that your words used to fill and your presence made that much better. We miss you and pray to support your soul on its journey.

And with all the loss that we feel, it is incomparable to the loss that Rachel, Miriam, Yehuda, Esther, Davidy and Michael are experiencing. The most important thing we can do for Shimon now is to share our love and support with those he loved most in the world.

Love,

Spiritual Director of the Kabbalah Centre

In the midst of such chaos in my life, I have been able to find peace through studying Kabbalah. Without any doubts whatsoever, I would highly recommend anyone to call. I am so thankful for The Kabbalah Centre, because it has made all the difference in my spiritual growth and development.

Kabbalah is the best gift I have had this year. But it did not come easy. It is a result of a lot of hard, focused, and disciplined work my teacher guided me through. Often I had to go out of my comfort zone to apply the tools. But the satisfaction and confidence I now feel is indescribable.

Now I look back and question what exactly I did and how I managed without these teachings in my life.
