“It's so easy to fall into a groove with our own spiritual work and forget the reason we traverse this spiritual path in the first place. Through the Torah, we are blessed with definite guidelines, but we must never forget the ideas of empathy, kindness, and human dignity; for inevitably, they are what change the world… This is a week to demonstrate spirituality in action. The immortal aspect of ourselves is constantly looking to share, to care, to pray for others, to give and receive love freely. Let's remain ever open to the opportunities that arise.”
–Karen Berg on the week of Devarim
This week we experience loud and conflicting forces at play in the universe. To best handle this mix of energies, it would behoove us to put our thoughts and spiritual ideas into action and manifest them.
At this moment in time, we are entering the arena of Leo. The influence of the New Moon of Leo starts on Tuesday, and this energy is here to encourage us to step into our leadership powers and take ownership of any changes that we want to make.
Around the same time (mid-week), Mercury in Leo forms a square with Jupiter in Taurus—a challenging aspect. This alignment is dangerous for all of us who like to talk and talk. If you tend to over-commit or make promises but have a hard time following through, beware. Even if it’s not our typical nature, we all can be influenced by this potential carelessness. In order to overcome this challenging energy, let’s all focus on less talk and more action. It’s better to under-promise and over-deliver this week in every area of our lives.
From mid-week until the end of the week, we are presented with another conflicting aspect between Mars in Virgo and Saturn in Pisces (they are in opposition). Those two planets represent two opposite approaches to taking action or any kind of movement in our lives. Mars pushes us to jump into action and do things instinctively, while Saturn beckons us to have restraint, think before we act, and calculate every move.
The lesson this week is to learn how to find the balance between these two energies. Consider areas in your life when you don’t think too much or react immediately to pursue a change. Perhaps this is out of boredom or other instinctive reasons. In other situations, you may apply more restraint and think with deeper intention. And sometimes, we wait too long, over-calculate, or are motivated from a place of fear. When this is the case, let go, take a risk, and learn to activate a braver approach. Trust in the Light and let it lead you to action.
This week gives us many opportunities to balance the energy, learn how to proactively and spiritually take an action, and tap into strong, sharing, spiritual consciousness.
