“This week, let's remember that we are not victims. Regardless of our circumstances, we are always capable of sharing and being a part of bringing Light into this world.”
—Karen Berg on the portion of Va’etchanan
What a powerful week! We start with the mighty sun moving into the sign of Leo right on the Day of Elevation of the Ari, Rabbi Issac Luria—a great soul who helps us to connect to the purpose of our lives and empowers our soul’s voice in this lifetime. The sun moves into Leo, giving all of us a tremendous amount of strength and power to tap into our inner leader. This is a time to live out our most generous and loving expression of ourselves. We have the ability to shine our most powerful Light in the world around us.
The challenge this week builds up, and Tuesday the moon enters into the sign of Scorpio. For the following three days, it forms a challenging aspect (opposition) with Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus. Be mindful of intense emotions, blame, jealousy, or vindictiveness. To succeed with this harsh alignment, think about where you can be more generous in your life and share love and kindness unconditionally. It’s a good time to try and defuse tension with our loved ones. Consider how you can work for your community this week, as well.
On Wednesday and Thursday, we arrive at one of the most powerful days in the month of Leo: the ninth day of the month of Av. This day signifies a great opportunity for all of us to reveal Light in the darkest moments of our life. As we learn in Kabbalah, the potential for the greatest Light is hidden in the lowest places. Kabbalistically, it’s a day when we should all stay low-key; it’s definitely not a day to sign contracts, make a new purchase, or take any risks. But internally, it’s a day to meditate, use our spiritual tools, and to elevate our consciousness. Share only positive thoughts and intentions with the world.
Let’s all be mindful of these powerful opportunities to shift and transform negative energy into positive and powerful blessings.
