Life is about involvement. We wake up in the morning and embrace the people around us. We nurture business contacts. We savor our love-relationships and friendships. There will always be people we are not wild about, of course, but we still deal with them. These involvements—some smaller, some greater—are the elements that make up our life.

Jacob was considered one of the most complete beings that ever walked on Earth. He knew when to be merciful and when to apply judgment. Today, check yourself: Are you diffident when you should be definite or judgmental when you should be gentle?

Don't forget that tonight is the New Moon of Gemini. Chodesh Tov (Have a Good Month)!
