While we may think of intuition as a gut feeling that goes against logic or reason, recent studies suggest that intuitive thinking is an adjunct skill that can be developed and sharpened.We all have the power to be in tune with the messages that the Universe is sending us and to act upon them.
One of the deepest levels of intuition is known as prophecy. Although we often think of prophecy as being something from biblical times, it is not an ability reserved for the prophets alone. Prophecy is a calling, a feeling that is too compelling to ignore. It comes from the Light of the Creator, and it is key to living a happy, fulfilled, purposeful life.

1. Approach your spiritual journey as a straight road rather than a meandering path.
Most people tend to approach their spiritual journey in a casual, wandering way. We might do some yoga, meditate, take a spiritual class, and occasionally work on bettering ourselves, usually when we feel inspired. The problem is we underestimate how much we are capable of and often feel it’s too hard to put in the effort that a consistent spiritual journey requires, so we lose focus on the importance of our spiritual work.
The Kabbalistic sages describe our lives as a very narrow bridge, requiring us to stay steady and straight on our spiritual path. We each have an exact process that our souls need to go through in this life. There is a divine plan for each of us. Staying on that path is the only way to actually accomplish what our souls came to this world to do. The goal is not to be simply a generally spiritual person but to stay true on that narrow bridge of life.
The first step to living your soul's purpose is knowing that it's an exact one. Through doing so, we start to open ourselves up to direction from the Universe, allowing us to be more intuitive and tap into the power of prophecy. How much thought and energy have you been giving to your soul’s path?

Remember that is how you grow and find your soul’s purpose.

How often do you receive a message from the Universe? Is it once a year, once a month, once a week, once a day? The reality is that for every step you take, there's a message, even in something that seems trivial. Not only are the messages coming all the time in all areas for all things, but becoming in tune with them is a necessary part of our development as human beings. The more you seek out the messages, the more you will find them.
A powerful way to gauge your spiritual progress is to assess whether you are more in tune and receiving more messages today than yesterday, last month, and last year. It's not enough to know that the messages are there, we must pay attention to them. The prophecy will come when you really start to listen.
