The 12 Days of Aries, Day 7: Libra

Under Libra’s influence, we may hold the belief system that harmony needs to be achieved at all costs. Not surprisingly, the motto for the sign of Libra is “I balance, therefore I am.” When acting from this belief system, we can disregard our own thoughts, feelings, needs, and desires in order to “keep the peace,” becoming the ultimate “people pleasers.” When other people aren’t willing to make the same sacrifices that we do, we wind up resentful and disappointed and can fall into victim mode because we have sacrificed so much and others are not willing to do the same.

Today, we have the opportunity to uproot this belief system and thereby change what we experience. By doing so, we can bring ourselves back into at-one-ment with the Source, for we create true harmony by cultivating the relationship with the Light of the Creator within us. The more we listen to our soul—even if what our soul tells us runs counter to what people around us approve of—the more harmony we will bring to ourselves and the world.

Before you begin the cleansing exercise, take a minute to recognize if and how this shows up in your life and remember that what you own, you can change.

1. Acknowledge that you are 100% responsible for everything that happens in your life.
2. Petition the Creator to help you in this process.
3. Meditate on the Vav Hey Vav (see below) to uproot your belief system that your value comes from your ability to keep everyone happy and in harmony.
4. Meditate on the Hey Hey Ayin (see below) for unconditional love. Infuse yourself with the love that flows from the Creator throughout the entire universe.
5. Thank the Creator for allowing you this process.

You can repeat as many times as you want or need to during the day, especially when or if you find yourself in a situation where you are reacting like a Libra.
