Welcome to the month of Libra (Tishrei)!
Now, with our vessels well-prepared, we are ready to utilize the powerful cosmic windows ahead in this month—Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot and Simchat Torah to continue our work of transforming darkness into Light and judgment into love and grace.
“Now, with our vessels well-prepared, we are ready to utilize the powerful cosmic windows ahead…”
What do I mean by grace?
Well, when the Creator looks at us with His grace, he sees the person as a whole. He knows that all of us were created with negative and positive attributes. He understands that each one of us has the inbuilt ability to soar to the heights or sink to the depths, and He chooses to accept us, work with us, and be with us, in spite of all of our imperfections.
The Creator’s grace is a mode of Divine Love that embraces us, the work of His hands, with all of our frailties, shortcomings, and despondencies. You and I will never reach that level of Divine Love, but through our spiritual efforts, especially in the holidays of this month of Tishrei (Libra), we can at least look at each other without judgment, understanding that our judgment of others is what brings judgment for ourselves.
“The Creator’s grace is a mode of Divine Love that embraces us…”
One person has limited energy, but many of us can bring about redemption without the need of negativity. May we all cultivate the desire in our hearts to be channels of the Creator’s grace, for ourselves, for others, and for all of humankind.
