In 1959, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) found that there was no relationship between blood cholesterol levels and heart disease, stating, "The role of cholesterol in heart and artery diseases has not been established.”

Not until the 1980s did science finally understand that cholesterol and fat in the blood cause blockages in the arteries, which in turn can lead to heart disease. And in more recent years, science confirmed that there are two kinds of cholesterol, “good” cholesterol and “bad” cholesterol.

English Zohar Pinchas Volume 20, Verse 220:

כְּגַוְונָא דְּאִית בְּגוּפָא, חֵלֶב טָהוֹר וְחֵלֶב טָמֵא, דָּם צָלִיל בְּלָא פְּסוֹלֶת, וְדָם עָכוּר בַּפְּסוֹלֶ.

English: For just as in the body there are pure and impure fatty parts, clean blood without waste matter and blood contaminated with waste matter, as the arteries of blood in the heart.

According to the Zohar, heart disease, brain damage, and death will occur if our arteries contain high levels of ‘impure fats’ as opposed to ‘pure fats’.

The Zohar was written over 2,000 years ago. Yet here we see that it is addressing the idea of good and bad fats in our blood stream and internal organs, a concept that has now – over two millennia later – been proven as fact by the scientific community.
