Spiritual Success

Question:

Why am I not prosperous and successful? I am living for the Creator. I rise early to worship Him. I read the Torah daily. I read proverbs daily asking the Creator to change me to please Him, to bring Him delight. I work laboriously. I seek to do good. Is there something I am doing or not doing that prevents prosperity from entering my life? ~PJ

Answer:

Success and prosperity are not measured by a physical manifestation such as money, position, status, etc. Given your description of the spiritual work that you do, I would encourage you to continue these great things. However, the ultimate goal of your spiritual work is not for the sake of receiving anything in return. So, your success is actually in doing these spiritual actions.
