As the lunar month unfolds, all of us may start to feel a bit vulnerable due to the great sensitivity of Cancer! This week’s chart is full of great features and good advice. But, that is definitely easier said than done!
First, the moon is in intense Scorpio, conjunct with Jupiter, which is excellent for deep inner realizations. Jupiter adds a profound desire to learn and be inspired. The duo created by the moon and Jupiter is often referred to as a “pregnant moon,” because many ideas and new ventures (and real pregnancies, too!) can emerge from this aspect.
The danger of Jupiter being so close to the moon is, of course, the potential for big drama, which we should absolutely try to avoid, especially with family members! Jupiter acts as a magnifier, making every small annoyance feel like a scene from Star Wars. So, strive to minimize all potential tidal waves and misunderstandings.
In addition, Venus in proud Leo is opposed to Mars in rebellious Aquarius. This planetary aspect is terribly uncomfortable, since we feel torn between gentle speech and fireworks; we oscillate between peace and war. The best way to harness the energy of these planets is to be innovative and flexible in all endeavors. And no, we are not always right!
This week, the chart’s rising is in practical Capricorn. This constitutes a great advantage, because it enables us to place all our feelings in order, and easily see the “cause and effect” of events we witness. In fact, all these planetary aspects point to one thing: this week is a fantastic time to cultivate intuition by simply connecting to our “gut” feelings. What we sense deep in our bellies is usually on point and should be acknowledged. This is one of the greatest opportunities the whole month of Cancer has to offer, especially with this week’s powerful Scorpio features.
Since Pluto is in retrograde motion on the first and in opposition to Mercury (a very intense aspect), we are given a fantastic opportunity to work on overcoming our fears and deepest demons. Pluto is the “digger” of the Zodiac, and it will help us bring many feelings to the surface. Many kabbalists connect fear with judgment. In fact, we may find that the less judgmental we are of others, the more our fears dissipate.
So, what’s wrong with being judgmental, anyway? Are we supposed to just accept the way things are, become indifferent, and look away? To the contrary, kabbalists explain that knowing and recognizing what isn’t great is very positive, as long as it’s within OUR own SELVES! Then we can simply make the necessary adjustments. What we aren’t supposed to do is spend our energy assessing and judging others!
Many of our fears stem from negative experiences from the past. But, of course, we are in the month of Cancer – the memory of the Zodiac! As John Kennedy once said, “Those who look only to the past or the present are certain to miss the future.” All planetary aspects of this week can help us to dig up fears and demons, blessing us with an incredible vision and intuition. Let’s take advantage of it!
We can meditate on the 72 Name #29, Removing Hatred, for strength.
Have a very powerful week!
