We are now in full-blown lunar Gemini! Let’s take a closer look at the cosmic environment these days!
The biggest surprise is the overwhelming dominance of the earth element. What’s going on? We were supposed to be light and fizzy in this airy month. Instead, we feel a real Saturnian heaviness weighing on our conscience. It’s like a big cosmic sandwich with many layers of Capricorn: the moon, Pluto in retrograde, rising sign, a Black Moon, and Saturn in retrograde.
Wow, what an intense combo! As they say, when it rains, it pours!
Venus is now in emotional Cancer, trining Jupiter for just an additional pinch of drama. In addition, we’ve all heard about rebellious Uranus who has just entered earthy Taurus, and will remain there until 2026. Well, what’s the plan?
The moon’s placement is actually a key factor this week, as it is occulted by the Black Moon and Pluto. It also squares Uranus, making a difficult angle to the sun. The moon is really, really challenged this week. When we take a closer look at ancient kabbalistic teachings, we see that the moon is perhaps the most important feature in a chart. It represents our internal universe, our deepest emotions, and the way we perceive, process, and receive all events in our lives – or as Jung would refer to it, the “anima” or “animus.” In a way, the placement of the moon in our chart represents the naked truth about who we really are within.
Positioned eight degrees away from the moon, Pluto creates a heavy and thick cosmic atmosphere. Since Uranus and the moon create a 90-degree angle, many difficulties arise when it comes to expressing how we feel, especially since Venus is already in sensitive Cancer. This whole week is one big exercise in sharpening common sense – being factual and very grounded. In other words, we must be able to express and receive information solely based on events we can verify, rather than subjective feelings. Gone are the days of “I feel you are upset with me…”
For example, let’s pretend a certain confrontation took place leaving us feeling insecure, blocked, annoyed, or worse. Right now, we shouldn’t give any energy to these emotions. Most likely, we are simply affected by the cosmic heaviness, not by actual facts. Instead, take a step back and ask yourself, “Okay, so what has changed in the past 20 minutes?” The answer is often, nothing really. You just got into a difficult face-to-face interaction.
The best course of action right now is to look at all sides and possibilities. Every situation needs to be perceived and analyzed from all possible angles, not only the difficult ones. But of course, Saturn‘s job is to accentuate the drama, the “doom and gloom” of life events.
So, let’s step up to the cosmic challenge this week! Staying home to hide under a blanket is out of the question. Confront things head on. All facts in hand will distort the illusion created by the universe. What a fantastic training in stoicism!
Since three planets are still in retrograde motion throwing us back into the past, stay in the moment with a great dose of strength and certainty. Ayin Resh Yud of the 72 Names (the formula for certainty) is definitely our ally this week!
Finally, to quote a very wise ancient Chinese philosopher, Lao Tzu,
“If you are depressed, you are living in the past.
If you are anxious, you are living in the future.
If you are at peace, you are living in the present.”
The cosmic illusions of this week will soon vanish, and more clarity will enter our lives!
