Hi everyone! We are slowly reaching the end of lunar Taurus. Yay!

Soon, we will enter the lunar month of Gemini. Our marathon sprint as we count the 49 Omer days continues with more Light and freedom at the end of the tunnel. Thank God! The Light energy of Gemini slowly enters the cosmos with Venus joining the sign in conjunction with the sun.

As we closely study the world’s chart, we may be surprised to find the moon at the beginning of this week, in independent AQUARIUS, five planets are still in Earth, and not much fire is found in the cosmos! The earthy Taurus energy is very reluctant to let go!

To top it off, Mars is now retrograde in Scorpio, conjunct with the black moon. That doesn’t sound too optimistic… And finally, heavy Pluto is in the first astrological house in Capricorn retrograde – talk about a solo and grumpy feature! What’s up with that?

Very simply, the last lesson the cosmos gave us in lunar Taurus was overcoming the “I” syndrome. We are all too familiar with moments when what's important is just me!

I remember a few years ago, I was teaching a Zohar class in Miami when someone asked the following, "Well, in Kabbalah we always speak about sharing. But what about us?!"

Another student added, "I totally need my "me" time. There’s no way I can share all my time with others."

I told them "me" time is quite alright, but how often is that in your life?

She answered, "Well, every day. Actually, most of the day."

True story!

Needless to say, the entire class found that hilarious, and she suddenly realized she did not have enough space for others in her heart. This was indeed the beginning of a terrific change in her life.

This week exactly addresses the above: how much space do you have in your heart to include others? And how much effort are you putting in that direction?

So, on a practical level, we need to look at two things this week.

First, how much space do we need without affecting the global wellbeing of our community? Are we freedom seekers discouraging people to become too codependent, or are we the opposite – too entangled with our families and our entourage? Are our boundaries too stiff or too blurry?

Obviously, "me" time should be organized properly and neatly scheduled into our weekly calendars. On this day I will go for a walk in the countryside, go for a massage, meditate, or simply disappear from the face of the earth. But do so PROACTIVELY, not because you want to run away and have had it with everything.

The second point is about space, more precisely, the existing space between us and those closest to us. Do you seek to be more transparent? Or are you afraid to get too close?

Our teacher, Rav Berg beautifully explained that a spiritual person is someone who removes the space between themselves and others, and constantly tries to come closer to others, while staying respectful of their boundaries. Often, we allow too much space to enter. Kabbalists that this is where negativity enters: indifference, anger, resentment, etc.

This week, let’s get ready to remove the unnecessary spaces. Let’s get closer, show care and interest towards others. Call someone you haven't spoken to in a while, create quality time with loved ones, and quality time for ourselves!

We should feel connected and closer to others, and that’s a really big jump in our spiritual work and consciousness!

Love and Light to everybody!

Yael
