Winning in the Game of Life is the First Level of the Spirituality for Kids program. The course encourages kids ages 8-12 and their parents to reflect on their actions, see challenges as opportunities, develop self-worth, understand the impact of their choices and build a desire to make a difference in the world around them. Through using a variety of mixed media—including videos, animation, art activities, journaling and games, the course takes children and parents on an exciting journey of self-exploration.
The New Moon of Aries is connected to the energy of miracles, the same energy behind the exodus from Egypt and the parting of the Red Sea. As it is the first month in the lunar calendar, the kabbalists teach that the month of Aries gives us the ability to transform at the seed level. By practicing restriction and nourishing our desire to share, we connect to a rejuvenating force that lets us be the authors of our story. The kabbalistic calendar is based on the cycles of the moon, with each month affecting us in distinct ways. The New Moon Connection offers us an opportunity to deepen our awareness of the influence each astrological sign has on our lives. Learn special meditations that assist us in using the energy of the month to make better choices so we benefit from a month of greater harmony and fulfillment. ***Please note, there will be no meals this Shabbat.
Shabbat is a time to come together in joy with a community of warm, like-minded individuals sharing laughter, songs, and delicious kosher food. Come experience the merriment of a Shabbat meal and connection with us while you get to know your fellow Kabbalah Centre students. All are welcome! Registration required for meals.
