In this must see lecture from Shabbat Shmini, Michael reveals why the seven weeks following Pesach are a challenging period of time. This period known as the Omer is a gift to help us connect to the Gates of Purity and achieve higher spiritual levels and ultimately remove chaos from our lives and the world. This shabbat we gain the strength to persevere through our spiritual work and push until it is complete. Michael also discusses the importance of seeing the big picture and how vital it is to connect to the big picture.
The portion of Shmini reminds us that we always have the ability to reveal great amounts of Light, even when we are feeling down. This week, turn away from the differences that separate us and instead focus on our commonalities—the beautiful things in life that unite us in joy.
