  • Connecting to our spiritual roots

Lesson Description

Rav Meir Baal HaNess (the miracle maker) was a sage who lived in the time that the Mishna (interpretation of the Bible) was written. He was considered one of the greatest of the Tannaim (Rabbinic Sages) of the fourth generation (139 - 163). According to legend, his father was a descendant of the Roman Emperor Nero.

When twenty four thousand students of Rav Akiva died in a plague, he (as well as Rav Shimon Bar Yochai) was one of the only five who survived. Visitors to his site traditionally pray to receive blessings for health and success.

About This Course

The Kabbalah Centre has been hosting spiritual pilgrimages for more than 30 years. Our directors, Rav and Karen Berg began this tradition by taking a few students on humble journeys to remote locations that were introduced to them by their teachers. Today our adventures lead us to many of those original locations as well as destinations that have only recently been uncovered. These lectures, recorded during the 2012 Israel Energy Tour help us establish connections at these sacred sites and to the support of these Master Kabbalists.
