In this lesson, Michael reveals two of the most fundamental teachings of kabbalah: keep your blessings concealed and free yourself from judgmental tendencies. When one is truly engaged in spiritual work, they haven’t the time to think about what others have done wrong or invest in impressing or gaining approval from others. A true student of kabbalah gets to the place where he or she sees how much work they have to do and no longer has the capacity nor ability to look outside of themselves.
The kabbalists teach that each day of our lives is a battle; not with others, not with situations, or with ourselves; but rather with our ego. Our ego is not who we are, it’s the compilation of our selfish and limiting tendencies that keeps us from growing and sharing. This battle is the work our soul came here to do. We can use this week’s energy of Ki Tetze to refocus our attention within, to the real work of revealing the totality of our soul.
