Lesson Highlights

  • Doing the spiritual work means becoming pure
  • Learning by asking questions and getting introspection, without the intellect and reasoning
  • Becoming aware of our intentions and desires
  • The benefit of feeling pain is becoming empathetic with others
  • Pain cleanses us from our ego
  • Every time we go against our comfortable nature, our reactivity, we feel pain
  • Awakening the ability to feel the pain of others is necessary to be able to help them

Lesson Description

In verses 7-4 and 7-5, pages 48 to 50 of the book, The Light of Wisdom, Rav Ashlag explains that there are two ways of completing our tikun or correction, the way of repentance or the way of suffering.

About This Course

Rav Ashlag, the founder of The Kabbalah Centre, was a visionary pioneer. He stood in the face of opposition and made it his mission to plead the case of studying this wisdom. Over the past few years more of Rav Ashlag’s writings have been making their way to the Kabbalah Centre. These new writings, which contain Rav Ashlag’s thoughts and explanations on a variety of topics are being brought to the public for the first time in this class. Join Senior Instructor Meir Yeshurun for this in-depth study of one of the most difficult, yet profound Kabbalistic texts and reveals the essence and central focus of our spiritual work.
