Children’s Privacy Notice

June 19, 2023

This Notice is to inform parents and legal guardians as used in this [Notice, "parents") about Kabballah’s practices for collecting, using, and disclosing personal information about children under the age of 13 through our Website and during our online courses maintained at www.kabbalah.com ("children").

This Notice notifies parents of the types of information we may collect about children and how we use the information that we collect, including how a parent may revoke consent.

General:

To the extent that Kabballah (or “we”) collect personal information about children, we receive that information primarily from their parents.  In participating in online courses, however, we necessarily receive information about the participating children.  We also maintain information provided by parents regarding their children to facilitate our programs.

We require verifiable consent https://www.kabbalah.com/en/pages/parental-consent from a parent for collection, use, and disclosure of their child's personal information.  Once we have obtained verifiable parental consent, we may collect additional information directly from children on our Website or in our courses.

Children cannot enroll themselves in courses independently but can access free areas of the Website including viewing videos or reading stories.

This Notice only applies to children under the age of 13 and supplements our general Privacy Policy https://www.kabbalah.com/en/pages/privacy-policy, which applies to adults, including parents, and teens over the age of 13.

Information We Collect about Children

Children can access many parts of the Website and its content and use many of its features without providing us with any personal information. However, some content and features of the Website such as enrollment in our classes or courses (“Courses”), require us to collect certain information, including personal information, about such children, which for enrollment purposes, is provided by the parent as noted above.

In addition, we use certain technologies, such as cookies, to automatically collect information from our users (including children) when they visit or use the Website.  As the parent of any child visiting our Website or participating in our Courses, we encourage you to visit our Cookie Policy https://www.kabbalah.com/en/pages/privacy-policy/#use-of--cookies and make informed decisions regarding cookies before your child access the Website or joins an online Course.

We only collect as much information about a child as is reasonably necessary for the child to participate in an activity, and we do not condition a child’s participation on the disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary for participation in that activity.

Information We Collect Directly. In order to enroll your child in Courses, you must provide us with the following information: the child's name, child’s year of birth, zodiac sign, parent’s(s’) legal name(s), parent’s(s’) email addresses, and parent’s(s’) mobile telephone number. We may request additional information about your child, but this information is optional and subject to your permission. We specify whether information is required or optional when we request it.

How We Use Your Child's Information

We use the personal information we collect from your child to:

  • register your child for online courses.
  • send an email to you and your child that a course is beginning.
  • communicate with your child about courses, activities or features of the Website that may be of interest.
  • to make sure that your child is placed in an age appropriate group.   .

Once we obtain verified parental consent, we may use and share personal data collected from children for the purposes described in this Notice and/or our Privacy Policy. We may recommend courses or activities to parents based on their engagement with us through push notifications or via email.

  • We will not send marketing information via email to children

We use technology such as cookies and other trackers to help us gather information about activities once logged in, but we do not allow third party analytics or advertising providers to collect personal data for their own purposes from child accounts.

Our Practices for Disclosing Children's Information

We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer children's personal information other than as described in this section.

We share information about children with teachers so that they can see account and profile information for children registered for their Course.

Video information is provided so that teachers can communicate directly with students via zoom during a Course.

Information:

Teachers, other children and guests can see information such as:

video images, voice audio and background images of home/family members (recorded and shared with participants)

  • children’s communications, posts, uploads, content.

Our teachers will make every effort to verify that the other students are children, including requiring children’s video be turned on at all time during a Course.

  • Please note that to the extent that children engage in online Courses, what they do is available to other participants, whether children, teachers, assistants, guests and other parents as well as Kabbalah employees, and our service providers who facilitate our Website and online Course delivery.

Video Recordings

We may record video, audio and written communications of children and teachers during courses. These recordings are made available to the teacher and other Kabbalah employees and may be shared with the entire class to view via a folder located on the Website. These recordings will not be available to the general public via the Website. These videos will be deleted from the Website every 60 days. We direct our teachers not to copy the recordings and further, not to share the recordings except via the Website as we describe in this Policy. We also request that these recordings not be downloaded or re-shared. However, we cannot control or monitor what other parents and recipients from those parents ultimately do with these recordings.

Online Classroom Policies.

In addition, to recording students, we require all attendees in our online courses to use a live camera so that the teacher and other students can view them. This is done to ensure, to the best of our ability, that all students are in fact who they represent themselves to be. If you do not want your child to use a live camera feed, please do not enroll your child in our online courses.
