Jay Kemal has been studying and teaching at the Kabbalah Centre since 2007. Growing up in the ganglands of London, Jay turned his life around in 2005, choosing a career with our partner charity, Spirituality for Kids, which teaches social and emotional learning to thousands of children and teenagers across London. From there his work expanded into today’s ‘NEET’ category aged 18-25, teach our life changing content to kids, teens, juvenile corrections centres, charities and social enterprises to inspire and teach how change starts within. Now Jay is applying his profound experience and transformational tools by teaching classes at the Kabbalah Centre in London.
The Zohar teaches that every week of the year has its own unique energy that – when channeled through spiritual work – can assist us in every aspect of our life. As we grow and apply the power of each week’s energy to our life, we begin to experience a change in our consciousness, which in turn allows us to see the world through a much larger lens and generate major shifts in our lives. Everyday life looks a lot different when you’re tuned in to the big picture, as the change in perspective allows you to shed the trivial, overcome challenges and take control – week by week – of every facet of your life.
Kabbalah 1 is a paradigm-shifting course that reveals the secrets of kabbalistic teachings, the golden rules you can master if you seek more fulfillment in your life. Kabbalah explains that there is the world that we see (the physical world) and a much larger realm, just as real, that is unseen (the spiritual world). We are souls from the spiritual world living in bodies of the physical world. The wisdom of Kabbalah explores both, explaining the spiritual laws of the universe in order to improve and enhance our life experience in this world.
Kabbalists view Shabbat (the Sabbath) not as a day of rest, but of intense spiritual work and connection. From sunset Friday evening through Saturday night, the kabbalists revealed a system of prayers, songs, meals and reading a portion of the Torah that provide us with the Light and nourishment that cleanses our ego and helps us to manifest our potential.
