Naomi was a 20 year old sergeant in the Israeli Defense Force when she came across another soldier reading the Zohar. Finding the Zohar marked the end of her search for deep answers and the beginning of her new purpose. For the last 26 years, Naomi has committed herself to studying and teaching Kabbalah, and fulfilling the mission of The Rav and Karen Berg through the Kabbalah Centre.

Naomi has taught Kabbalah in Europe, Venezuela, Brazil and the USA, while raising her two sons. Her studies at Bar-Ilan University in Special Education gave Naomi additional skills in teaching children and adults, leading to her contribution to the founding, growth, and development of "The Kabbalah Children's Academy" and "Spirituality for Kids" programs in the USA. In 2010 Naomi returned to Israel and has continued her teaching in Europe, primarily in France. In addition to spending time with her family, Naomi is happy to be back in Israel and connecting with more people. She continues to open her heart daily to her friends, students and the universe, and wishes the same for others.

Simchat Torah in New York
Oct 20

All of the spiritual work we do on the High Holidays of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot culminates in the celebration known as Simchat Torah. The Zohar explains that restriction already exists on Simchat Torah; therefore it is a festive day in which we can sit back and enjoy the Light. On Simchat Torah, we experience the revelation of all of the Light of the Torah, known as Surrounding Light. Surrounding Light is the union of past, present and future, and allows us to rise above the illusion of time to eliminate chaos from our lives. Surrounding Light is already with us, but it must be awakened to truly become a part of us. This is why, on Simchat Torah, we dance around with the Torah: The process of dancing makes the Light become part of us. And when we achieve unity with the Light, we reunite with our timeless, limitless—perfect—selves.
