Shimon was 4 years old with when he came to The Kabbalah Centre with his mother for the first time. However, it was during his service in the Israeli armed forces that he truly saw the benefits of Kabbalah in his life and made a conscious decision to dedicate himself to the Centre’s mission.
Shimon was the head of the Media Department at the Tel Aviv Centre from 2001 until 2002. From 2002-09 in, he was a Student Support teacher in Los Angeles, where he also participated in programs of spiritual development for children and teens. Since 2009 he has been based in Moscow, where he acts as one of the lead teachers meeting with students and giving seminars. Shimon also helps in building the Moscow Centre’s library by translating sacred texts from Hebrew to Russian. His favorite book is Education of a Kabbalist by Rav Berg, as he loves the way it combines deep teachings with simple wisdom that can be practiced in daily life.
Shimon is certain that all people, in the end, will learn how to understand and accept each other, and sees the wisdom of Kabbalah helping them along this path. He is happily married and, after becoming a father to a baby boy, has seen the word ‘love’ transformed from a beautiful concept to the entire purpose of his life.
Shabbat is a time to come together with the Kabbalah community in celebration and song, as we share a meaningful meal. We close the week mindfully, while setting intentions and sowing seeds for an abundant week ahead. Join us for a rejuvenating evening as you experience the transformative power of a Shabbat meal with our vibrant community.
Kabbalists view Shabbat (the Sabbath) not as a day of rest, but of intense spiritual work and connection. From sunset Friday evening through Saturday night, the kabbalists revealed a system of prayers, songs, meals and reading a portion of the Torah that provide us with the Light and nourishment that cleanses our ego and helps us to manifest our potential.
Start your week off strong by joining us every Monday morning for insights into the energy of the upcoming week. Participate in practical workshops, experience consciousness expanding meditations, and study spiritual wisdom that gives you real-life advantages. All classes are based on key wisdom contained in the Zohar, the ancient kabbalistic text that decodes the Torah’s hidden meanings, allowing you to understand the spiritual significance of its messages. Quite simply, the Zohar is a manual for the days and weeks of your life. It helps you understand the laws of the universe, so you can live in harmony with them – all for the purpose of finding fulfillment and seizing the opportunities before you on any given day.
