The holiday of Pesach is a gift of immeasurable power. On Pesach, we are able to receive tremendous Light as a gift from the Creator.
To understand what the power of Pesach entails, we first need to know a couple of facts.
Karen explains one of the Ari’s lessons: in order to go from level to level, we need to have a time period of 8 days in which we are completely positive (or negative) in our words, actions and thoughts. To reach our maximum consciousness, we must repeat these 8 days 50 times, meaning 400 days total in which we behave in either a totally positive, or totally negative, manner.
If we take the negative option as an example, we would need to behave in a negative way for 400 days to lose our well-being and fall completely into negative consciousness.
The power of Pesach gives us the opportunity to reboot ourselves and start from the very first cycle of 8 days, wiping the slate clean as if we have never before behaved in a negative way.
Since we have only 365 days in one year, it takes a while to reach the highest level. If we are going downhill with our consciousness, we can use the power of Pesach to reignite our spiritual state of mind and prevent our falling into the 400 days that can finish us forever.
Pesach is the 24 hours we get as a gift from the Creator to reboot our consciousness and start clean in a positive way.
Usually the effort required in escaping the Negative Side – our Desire to Receive for the Self Alone, our ego – is a huge task in which progress is gradual.
The power of Pesach, however, allows us to be freed immediately. At Pesach, each of us can instantly break the influence of the Negative Side, regardless of our spiritual level.
May we all have the merit to get the maximum power from Pesach and start a new year of fulfillment and blessings.
Chag Sameach!
