"At the heart of Kabbalah lies a great trinity of texts. The first of the trinity, Sefer Yetzirah (Book of Formation) or Book of Abraham was revealed four thousand years ago to no less an author than Abraham the Patriarch. In its few scan pages, incomprehensible to most people, the Book of Formation describes the physical and metaphysical nature of the Universe and the formulas of Creation - formulas rendered not in numbers but in Hebrew letters. According to the Book of Abraham, the twenty two letters of the Hebrew alphabet are actually twenty two distinct energies, each with its own numerological significance and domain of Creation. The are described by kabbalists as the very engines of Creation, the DNA of the Universe."
