Here we go! The month of Cancer is here!
Let’s examine the state of the constellations this week.
The first significant event can surely be called a universal “flood.” The world’s chart contains no less than seven water planets this week! It’s been a while since so much water was present AT ONCE in the cosmos!
The week begins with a moon in inquisitive Scorpio, Saturn in retrograde and also back to Scorpio for a little while (yes, I know… our friends, the Scorpios, shouldn’t worry too much!), and Mars, in emotional sign of Cancer, conjunct to the Sun. The North node of the moon is located in the eighth house, the astrological house of transformation and regeneration (the traditional house of Scorpio). Oh dear, more water!
The cosmos is also gifting us with a wonderful surprise: Venus and Jupiter are conjunct! Thank God! This beautiful planetary unification is all about harmony, love, meeting new people, and expanding our social and spiritual field of influence.
The combined energies of Cancer and Scorpio create a highly electrical, and even sensual energy in the cosmos! The romantics amongst us, beware! Not everything that looks like gold is gold.
Our first homework assignment is the best we’ve had in a while. This week is all about opening our hearts to life and to others. It’s about learning to trust the universe. Easier said than done, though!
Gosh, how do we even start?
The first step is taking the proactive route of crediting others. No more unfounded suspicion, no more doubts about people’s intentions. This week we are choosing to love and to extend our care to others, just because.
Much of our baggage and doubts are, in fact, related to past disappointment.
But disappointment can only come accompanied by its other half—expectation! Disappointment and expectations are real soul mates; they always come together. By uninviting one, we prevent the other from entering our lives. This week, ban all expectations!
The unification of Jupiter and Venus will, indeed, make our souls shine very brightly this week. In short, no limit to love!
Our second step and mission is to begin peeling off the unnecessary emotional baggage. Actually, this happens to be the greatest gift of the month of Cancer. Kabbalists explain that during this month, as the ice of the world starts to melt, we are flooded with water and blessings, and nature is rejuvenated. There is little doubt we will all feel flooded by emotions!
As I mentioned earlier, the North node of the moon occupies a key position this week, (the eighth house) allowing us to let go of old beliefs, "the old me," and leave a clean slate for the refined, brighter version of ourselves. The plan is to emerge brand new and ready to flourish, like nature after a good rain!
According to Kabbalah, within every one of us lies an incredible energy of new beginnings, depth, and transformation. This week, we can draw this Light into our lives in a more powerful and focused way. As it happens, Pluto is opposing the sun and Mars, and is really triggering a greater shift of consciousness.
And finally…
The third cosmic gift is a deeper understanding of the influence of our surroundings. As the saying goes, when it rains, it pours!
This week, we are receiving a greater awareness of the constant love and presence of certain friends and family in our lives. Take nothing for granted! We want to extend a greater appreciation to all areas of our lives.
The lesson Jupiter offers us this week is extraordinary. Gratitude will lead us to really connect with the ones who help us expand and grow—namely, our true friends!
So, this week our job is to first shed our old skin of torment and doubts about others, and come anew, ready to appreciate and love a lot more, walk around smiling and shining bright, with our hearts wide open to new friends and perhaps even true love!
