From the literal story it seems that Korach was a negative person who received the ultimate punishment for his actions. Through the teachings of the kabbalists, Michael reveals the tremendous positivity that Korach possessed and how each of us can not only reconnect with the desire to sacrifice for the final redemption, but also to a great soul that was willing to sacrifice everything to bring about the Final Redemption.
