As the holiday season approaches, we know that not every person will be able to gather indoors with family or friends. During this Homelessness Awareness Week, join us in sharing The Tale of the Other Glove’s message of empathy and compassion to help spark profound conversations with children about generosity and kindness.
Here are a few actions to inspire acts of kindness within your family to support those who are unhoused in your communities:
🧤 Donate gently used gloves, coats, and other winter accessories
🥫 Contribute to your local food pantry, community fridge, or soup kitchen
🥧 Volunteer your time to prep, cook, serve, or distribute warm holiday meals
😊 Offer a kind smile to someone who may often be overlooked
As Monica & Abigail’s tale so warmly teaches, every small action counts, especially when we come together to help and uplift others 💗. To put the book’s message into action, winter gloves were handed out to this year’s Rosh Hashanah attendees to offer to someone in need of warmth this winter.
This winter, you can also be part of bringing this message of empathy to more children, families, and students around the world by supporting The Tale of the Other Glove book donations. Your contributions enable us to donate copies to partner organizations with proven distribution channels to reach the widest readership.
We know that true connection and understanding come not from our differences but from our shared humanity. May we all continue to spread and unite behind this book’s message of empathy for those we may perceive as different from us, especially this holiday season.
Warmth and Light,
The Kabbalah Centre Team
P.S. We encourage you to share this news with others whose children may want to join us in spreading acts of kindness this season.🧤
