Water is the substance on Earth that most closely embodies the qualities of the Light of the Creator, to the extent that it is regarded as a form of "liquid Light." Kabbalists use immersion in a Mikveh, a special kind of bath performed with specific meditations to help purify, cleanse and empower individuals. Immersing oneself in a body of water or Mikveh removes negative metaphysical forces that interfere with our lives, our health and well being.
