The Moon has passed its peak and now heads into the second part of the month, where it is disseminating. We are in the first week of an important time called the Counting of the Omer. The Omer is a special time wherein each week corresponds to an emanation from the seven lower emanations of the Tree of Life. It is a connection between the cosmic windows in time that we are in between: Pesach, which frees us from our own limitations, and Shavuot, which is an opening of endless blessings. Pesach (or Passover) offers us the opportunity to free ourselves from the stories that block us from growing. While Shavuot gives us the energy to constantly renew ourselves. Essentially, the Omer provides us with the ability to contain the energy of Shavuot.
As we open the week, the Moon in fiery Sagittarius is all about explorations, spiritual research, and expansion. The Moon adds fire to the chart in collaboration with the North Node, Mercury, Chiron, and Venus in Aries. Use this fiery energy to ignite your desire to listen to what the universe is telling you. The fire element can pose difficulties in receiving because it makes us very selective about whom we choose to listen to. Be open to messages from the universe. They can come from the least expected messenger. Also, make sure you are drinking enough water. Breathe to calm down your nervous system and ground your thoughts.
The ruler of Sagittarius is Jupiter, which passed through a conjunction with Uranus and prepares its path into Gemini for the next 12 months (more or less). Jupiter will move to Gemini on May 26th. This is a time when we can work on our communication. The earth element brings manifestation and stability into our conversations and into the nervous system, giving us the ability to connect to and see the Light in every human being.
Each one of us has a soul—the part of the Creator that is in all of us, and that connects us to each other. The only thing that makes us different is what we see on the outside. In the eyes of the Lightforce of the Creator, we are all equal and we all have the same potential. We are the ones who put boundaries on what we can receive.
Mercury conjunct the North Node in Aries this week. This also brings a lot of tension into the head area. If you find you are getting overly worried or becoming occupied with things that are not important, bring yourself back into the right direction. On Monday, Venus moves to Taurus, its natural place, which can help in calming the area of the head and neck.
The Sun is already nine degrees in Taurus, so take this time to decorate your house and make it a place you enjoy. With the Sun in Taurus, be sincere and speak from the heart towards those you truly care for. Bring your loved ones closer to you.
On Tuesday, the Moon conjunct Pluto brings a lot of emotional ups and downs. Work with your heart, and no matter what assignment you take upon yourself, just do it with love. Remember that the word change is not a curse.
This week, Mars moves into Aries. Here, we have two planets that are very strong: Mars and Venus. Be careful of anger explosions creating pressure in the area of the head. Mars controls Aries. Desire is very strong, so the journey is to learn how to focus our energy. The sign of Taurus can help us do it, but we have to be careful not to invest too much energy in one place and then quit because we are exhausted. Keep on going and invest energy for the long run.
