“Yitro is ultimately the story of a convert, a person who decided to leave one path and begin another. This portion is found in the month of Aquarius because it works in synergy with it, assisting us to initiate a new awakening. We are given the power to propel ourselves out of any current mindset, removing the blinders from our eyes and the covers from ears so that we may hear and do something new.” – Karen Berg on the portion of Yitro.
The week begins with the powerful energy of the 15th day in the kabbalistic month of Aquarius, also known as the holiday of Tu B’Shevat. The midpoint of the month coincides with a full moon. Sunday evening through Monday, we are blessed with a very unique and powerful cosmic alignment. Any full moon allows us to connect to the power of unification, manifestation, and accomplishment.
Tu B’Shevat is considered the New Year for the plant kingdom. Spiritually, it signifies a time when all of humanity can connect to one of the most powerful attributes of the trees—growing against the force of gravity. This holiday gives us a boost of energy to defeat challenges and any force that pulls us down. We will have support as we overcome doubts, sadness, or feelings of being powerless.
Mercury and Neptune form a powerful aspect, as well (a sextile), and that encourages us to be more sensitive and in tune to different energies and vibrations, especially in the first part of the week. Our intuition can be a great asset in communications and relationships this week. Through most of this week, we will also see Venus and Uranus form a positive aspect (a sextile). This aspect is very good for our relationships, especially the romantic ones. It raises the energy of excitement and allows us to see others (and be seen) in a favorable light. This aspect can also be potentially good for financial affairs.
I echo Karen Berg's message for this weekly energy: we have an opportunity to change and shift any stagnant mindset and initiate a new awakening. Let’s all take advantage of the powerful and unique alignments so we can have a beautiful and transformative week.
