This week the moon is in its growing form, which gives us courage, willpower, and bravery. It’s time to build; it’s also time to make decisions, define our course, and take action.
This moon mixed with this month’s energy of Av (or Leo) gives us the strength, ambition, autonomy, capacity, and originality we need to pursue our desires. Above all, it gives us the certainty we need, knowing all of the things we sowed during the New Moon (Rosh Chodesh) will manifest. We can use this energy in a proactive way to search within ourselves for the space to change and grow spiritually.
Even though the days of the first quarter moon are considered positive and help support new beginnings, it is not recommended that we start a new endeavor this week since, according to Kabbalah, it is the most challenging week of the year. During these days, the opponent reigns overall, and the culmination of this period happens on Tisha b’Av, the ninth day of the month of Av (Leo). Under all this darkness, however, we can reveal the largest quantity of Light. This kabbalistic month and the moon's phase fills us with the strength, willpower, and certainty to get the best out of this time.
