The portion of this week is called Behar, which means "mountain." A mountain reminds us of the earth element, which rules Taurus, our current month. But we also know that in kabbalistic astrology, the internal energy of Taurus is fire. Imagine a volcano—it is earth with fire within. That is why Taurus people are very calm. But when they explode in anger, it can be devastating, just like a peaceful, beautiful mountain...until it erupts.
Now is the time when we can really connect to the serene side of the mountain (Behar)—earthly Taurus—without letting the fire escape. The stability of a mountain that is not affected by anything is certainly a virtue we want to increase before the 11th of May. Why? On May 11th, Jupiter will enter Aries adding a lot of fire energy into the cosmos.
This can be a very positive period for all of us when we can increase our motivation (especially our Taurus friends). Think: speed, proactiveness, thought into action, and burning the heaviness within. This is also a period that requires an extra dose of caution, for Jupiter in Aries can prompt anger, fights, or heated discussions.
It is very important to tap into personal strategies to establish inner calm. There is an ancient teaching that says all conclusions we have in a moment of anger are "lies that sound like absolute truth." That is why kabbalists recommend waiting three days before confronting someone when we are in anger. Peace is the key word now. More than ever, we need to increase our ability to confront others with gentleness and compassion. It's a must.
