Today, we are talking about abundance, how it flows, and how we’re able to create and receive it.
If abundance is meant to come to somebody, it’s going to come and it’s going to find the channels through which it should flow. If you open your channels, if you believe that you are deserving, if you believe that good things should come to you, if you believe you are worthy of receiving and you create space for that, it will certainly find its way to you.
Today, I will share with you one of my favorite parables that illustrates this powerful idea. It’s about a famous Kabbalist from the 1700s named Rav Zusha.
We’ve all heard the saying, “You get what you give.” This is true in many aspects of our lives, such as our relationships and careers, and it is equally relevant to the flow of money.
So, how do we get more joy and fulfillment out of money? And how do we create a flow where more money can enter our lives? By sharing.
The kabbalists teach that cultivating a desire to receive is a positive and even spiritual pursuit, as long as it is for the sake of sharing. Desiring more and receiving more are necessary parts of our spiritual life so that we can, in turn, share that abundance with others. Therefore, the abundance we experience in life is rooted in our desire to receive.
Thinking of money in this way helps us understand how it flows in and out of our lives. Because money is simply energy, we cannot “own” our money any more than we can own the wind or an electrical current. If we believe—consciously or unconsciously—that money truly belongs to us, we block the energy within that money from its source (the Creator).
How can we learn to maintain a steady flow of abundance in our lives? By removing our ego from our thoughts about money and shifting our consciousness away from “ownership” and towards the idea of “stewardship.” When we think of ourselves as stewards of our money, we then see our responsibility to spend it wisely and share it meaningfully with others and the world. That’s why it’s equally vital that we avoid focusing on what we lack or can’t afford. By understanding that money is energy, you realize that a consciousness of lack interrupts the circuitry of abundance from bringing more our way. We open the channel for Light and blessings with our certainty, intention, and willingness to share.
Yesterday, I asked you to think about your attitudes toward money. Paying attention to where you feel stress or lack will help guide you toward areas in need of a shift in consciousness. If there’s an area of your life where you feel stingy, question why. Consider what you may gain—monetarily or not—by sharing more.
If there are places where you feel lack, rethink that lack. If you feel blocked from giving financially, get creative and think of other things you can share, like your time or talents. Remember, money is energy, not paper, so giving in other ways often helps clear the blockages that prevent us from earning more.
Today, see the potential for more flow and more sharing in these areas.Identify ways you can share and visualize how your life will look after you make this shift. Write this in your journal, and remember, you must believe you deserve abundance in order to receive it. Writing down one or two personal affirmations that you can reference daily is a powerful way to rewire your attitudes and beliefs around worthiness and money.
You will feel the change begin the moment you decide to connect to the flow of abundance waiting to enter your life. Tomorrow, we’ll discuss the circuitry of abundance in greater detail to further help you align with the potential around you.
One of the great gifts in studying Kabbalah is that we become more aware of the energies around us. Each day, week, and month has its own unique energy with differing powers that inform us. This month of Virgo is one of the most consequential months of the year, full of the energy of deep transformation. Over the next 30 days, we will assess, evaluate, and rethink 10 of the most important areas of your life. First, we will look at what is working and what isn’t working. I will help you identify your desire – the thing that you really want for that area of your life–not the thing you only think you want, or think you should want, or what others think you should want. From there, you will make your plan. You’ll make it actionable, doable, and motivating. I’m so excited and grateful that you are all joining me on this journey to rethink, reframe, recalibrate, and re-energize your life.
