As her parents began studying at the Kabbalah Centre when she was only two years old, Yael has grown up learning and applying the spiritual tenets of Kabbalah. However, it wasn’t until she was twelve that she made the conscious decision to truly study the wisdom for herself rather than out of a sense of obligation. She started mentoring other young people in the Centre’s youth programs and never looked back. While getting her BA at New York University, she tried out as a “chèvre in training,” which helped her realize that teaching Kabbalah was her true passion.
Yael, who was born in Miami and grew up in Mexico City, officially became a teacher at the Centre in 2018. She loves the beauty and simplicity of Kabbalah and how by practicing it, she has been able to connect with her inner truth. She feels it has empowered her to realize that, depending on our awareness and consciousness, we truly create our reality. Teaching classes in both English and Spanish, Yael sees herself as a guide that helps her students identify, feel, and embody their soul’s fullest potential by creating a safe space where they can be themselves.
Yael currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and fellow Kabbalah Centre Teacher, Michael Ocher, and their son, David.
